Dunedin's botanical gardens are very nice. It's a large park; most of it is covered in trees and native bush with walking paths. There is an aviary where you can see some of the native birds. The best part is probably the formal gardens at one end. The roses are in full bloom right now; Pocket especially liked the pink roses.
Yes, Dunedin has barbershops as evidenced by Danny's now short hair -- there have been questions posed by readers. Our Icebreaker shirts (100% merino wool) have come in handy since this "summer" weather is so changable. It has rained on and off most days this past week.
Another shot of Pocket at the botanical gardens. This was in the hot/dry room of the greenhouse. When we walked in we sighed...we are missing our garden in Denver, and it's still covered in snow. The weather here is mostly humid with rain more likely than not -- the humidity isn't as noticable once the wind starts howling. But they tell us this has been one of the best summers in Dunedin. It is very green at least.
