Penguin mixer

This is the full view of the beach from the penguin hide. You can see that some penguins who arrived earlier came back to greet the later ones. We have never seen this many penguins just hanging out at the beach. Usually they just walk up and into the bushes to their homes. This time of year they are picking mates though, so apparently we happened upon a Penguin Singles Mixer.

Many of the penguins were pairing up as they walked around.

There was quite a lot of squabbling and penguin face-offs when someone tried to join a group.

And a lot of yelling.

Followed by everyone feeling a little hurt & sad.
