Sandymount

After Sandfly Bay we drove to the top of Sandymount. There is a trail from the beach at Sandfly Bay to the top of Sandymount, but it was getting dark and colder.

From the carpark you walk through this incredible tunnel of pine trees. I lightened up this photo - it was too dark to see anything if I hadn't.

This is Lover's Leap at the edge of Sandymount. You come upon it rather suddenly after walking through an innocent sheep pasture. Which makes me wonder if the lovers really meant to leap.

This is the view from Sandymount looking down towards Hoopers Inlet. The wind was gusty and cold up here. The only other living things we saw were some sheep (of course).

The clouds were looking ominous so we decided to get back to the car. It was an amazing day.
