Sunday, we drove back from Queenstown. Dan had off Monday for Queen's Birthday but I still had to get back for work. Contrary to popular belief, people in the States don't celebrate Queen's birthday.
We made a quick stop at Gibbston Valley winery on the way out of Queenstown. We hadn't stopped there before but were told good things about it. The American girl working there gave us a tour of the wine cave & tastings for free (usually it's $10/person). The wine was very good and the cave was....well, a big wine cave. I still can't believe the oak barrels cost $3000 each and they only can use them about 3 years.

The mountains looked so amazing leaving Queenstown with the sun and snow on them. By the time we got back to Dunedin it was predictably overcast and raining.
