The parade was really long with lots of funny floats including this purple dragon which some lucky kids got to ride.

Not sure which British planet this spaceship crashed into but it looks volcanic.

We really love our new camera. Do the pictures look better than last week?

The Salvation Army band made the first mention of "the true meaning of Christmas" but didn't actually spell it out other than it's priceless. No nativity scene in this parade.

Santa pulled up the end of the parade with his sleigh and reindeer. Parades are different here in New Zealand. No horses or vendors selling cotton candy. Not a lot of candy being thrown at the kids. No marching bands. But lots of strange, paper-mache fairy-tale themed floats.

Looks like a good time. It's weird without snow. Pearl Ann arrived on the 29th. You can see some pictures on our blog if you haven't already.
