Driving around the Pacific side of the Peninsula in the rain was something new for us. On the best days, these one-lane, two-way roads are exciting with the hills and blind corners. With the rain...well, at least there was barely any traffic.
Hoopers Inlet wasn't the swampy area we saw a month ago. The water level was higher due to all the rain we've been having.
We were going to follow the road up to Cape Saunders lighthouse but were so cold and wet from our hike on the beach, we wimped out and headed home.
