Allens Beach

Rather than stay inside this Saturday, we took to the road: the one-lane, muddy, uneven, sheep-lined road. We headed to Allens Beach on the Peninsula which less than 1 hour away.

It's been raining and chilly all week, but we've been getting cabin fever staying inside. So we bundled up and headed out.

To reach Allens Beach we had to cross through a sheep pasture and over this stye.

So this is what Allens Beach looked like Saturday; very wet and cold. The rocks are amazing there. We kept looking around for seals or sea lions but didn't find any.

Lots of huge seaweed all over the beach.

Trying to negotiate the rocks without getting wet or surprised by seals.
