Dan and I moved into our new flat this week. We are so excited to finally have windows to let the air and sunshine into our lives.
Dan, being particular about these things, already is scraping old paint off the glass. The building in from the early 1900's . Whoever last painted the windows was a little sloppy.
The flat is really lovely. Very open and sunny. The bedroom is upstairs in a loft area.
Love the modern kitchen.
The loft bedroom is very nice. Even though the windows face the street, the noise really isn't that bad. It seems quieter than the last flat especially since we don't have people smoking directly on our stoop anymore.

This is from my desk. Now it won't feel like I'm working from a dark cave anymore. We finally got the internet hooked up in this place. It took almost 2 weeks from when we first called the company for them to actually get it working. Very frustrating. In the end, the technician didn't even have to come to the apartment. Just switched something at the phone company. It's amazing how slow some things happen here.
Now we have a vestibule area too so people can't pound on the door, they need to be buzzed in. We are the door to the left.
