The day after our friends' wedding in upstate NY, we decided to visit Niagara Falls with our friends David and Lexie. It was less than an hour away.
We all boarded the Lady of the Mist boat that takes you almost under the falls....enough to get pretty soaked. It was amazing, but we really didn't expect the crazy commercialism surrounding it. Maybe it was partly because of the wedding reception the night before, but the whole place just gave me a headache. From there, Dan and I drove back to Chicago through Canada. All I can say about that is that border guards need to take themselves a little less seriously.
