When you're in Wisconsin you need to have sauerkraut to eat with all those bratwurst. So on Oct 14th, we helped my mom make some sauerkraut out of all the cabbage in the garden.
Working hard at shredding the cabbage. And yes, it was pretty cold here in October.

And the lovely finished product, all canned and ready to eat all winter long.
