Sunday Sept 6th

Sunday, Sept 6th we headed back home from Alexandra. First we took a short walk along the river. The rocks reminded me of places in Colorado.

That bridge was actually called Shaky Bridge, and shaky it was.

We didn't feel like leaving Central Otago right away so we took a detour towards Bannockburn again.

The area has a lot of wineries...something to do with the dry climate in this part of Central Otago.

We came across this small flock of merino sheep all penned up. I think they were about to shear them.

They are just so woolly and cute.

The ram didn't like us getting so close to his ladies so we took our pictures and left before Dan could jump in there and get hurt.

On the ride home we had to stop to see these adorable brand-new lambs. It looked like they had just been born and were learning to stand up.

They were tiny.

We saw lots of lambs on the drive home. We stopped at this larger farm to watch them for a while.

Lambs everywhere!

They seemed curious of us as well. And that one looks like he's wearing leg warmers.

Getting a drink.

Running.

Springtime is fun here in Dunedin with all the very cute little lambs. After this, the weekend sort of went downhill. We got back home and had to start cleaning, packing, organizing for the big move.

Remember when you had lambs in your basement? Good times.
